For the 12th year in a row, Union Public Schools has been recognized by the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education as the Oklahoma’s Promise 2024 State 6A Champion for having 175 seniors from the class of 2023 qualify for the Oklahoma’s Promise Scholarship.

The Union Schools Education Foundation Online Auction opens Monday, April 15. It runs until April 22.
While school is out today for a scheduled parent-teacher conference day, the Union Finance Division, which covers departments from accounting to human resources, is participating in an all-day retreat at the UMAC.
Reminder: a virtual learning day is planned for Monday, April 15, meaning students will work on assignments from home on Monday. Teachers will be involved in professional development on Monday. School will resume as normal on Tuesday, April 16.
Can you take algebra in eighth grade? In many cases, the answer is no. However, Union has made changes to allow any student the opportunity to take algebra in eighth grade.
Congratulations to the Union High School Varsity Winter Guard on winning 2024 State Championship, their second state-level gold medal win in the last two years!
Union Fine Arts will present the 45th annual YouthArts! Festival this spring, featuring the visual arts gallery and a number of musical and dramatic performances by Union students.
Union Select Theatre presents "Alice In Wonderland" at 7 p.m. April 12-13 at the Union 8th Grade Center. Tickets are $5 at the door.

Campus Life
Union High School may be the home of the Redhawks and advanced zoology students enjoyed an opportunity to meet Titus, a real red tailed hawk, and Sir Dante, a young Eurasian eagle owl, thanks to a presentation from Edged Feather Experiences, a falconry outfit based in Okema.
More than 100 seniors visited the southeast Tulsa Community College for an orientation day. The group met in a lecture room before touring parts of the campus.

Union High School will celebrate Senior Week April 22-28. At 2 p.m. Sunday, April 28, seniors will be honored at the Performing Arts Center during a senior awards ceremony.

Union High School’s 2024 Yearbook is our version, (The Redhawk’s Version). The yearbook staff wanted to offer multiple cover options with this theme, for the student body to choose from at pickup in the summer of 2024.
