Each spring, Union conducts an early enrollment program for 3-year-old, pre-kindergarten and kindergarten students.
Children who are at least four years old on or before September 1 of the school year in which they begin attendance may be enrolled in the pre-kindergarten program at their home school on a space-available basis. Children who are at least five years old on or before September 1 of the school year in which they begin attendance are eligible for kindergarten. Pre-registering online does not guarantee enrollment.
Pre-kindergarten and kindergarten are full-day programs. Hours are posted on school web pages. Extended day or before/after care is also provided for pre-kindergarten students. Transportation is not provided.
The student must be a resident of Union Public Schools and living with a parent or legal guardian to enroll. For enrollment requirements, see Enrollment.
Kindergarten shots may be given any time after your child turns four years old. Tulsa City-County Health Department offers these immunizations and often hosts several clinics. Call (918) 582-9355 for information. According to Oklahoma School Law, any child not immunized and without proper certificate or statement may be denied admittance to school.
