Union Public Schools offers an Oklahoma State Approved Drivers Education course. Students must be 15 years old by the first day of class and must be attending high school, grades 9–12. This course requires 30 class hours, 12 simulation hours, and 3 hours of behind-the-wheel time. Students must attend all classes, simulations and driving times as scheduled. Space is limited. Enrollment is offered on a first-come/first-serve basis. Once all openings are filled, enrollment will be closed.

Requirements to Enroll
Enrollment is open only to students at least 15 years of age on or before the first day of class and who are currently enrolled in 9th-12th grade. A copy of the student’s birth certificate and a registration fee of $225 are required at the time of enrollment. A parent or guardian, or person responsible for payment and transportation to classes must be present at enrollment.
Non-Union students must also provide information regarding school enrollment.

The enrollment fee of $225 must be paid at the time of enrollment. Only payments by credit card, or check or money order made payable to Union Public Schools, will be accepted. We do not accept cash.
There are no excused absences. Additional fees of $35.00 will be assessed for each missed class, simulation, or driving time. Make-up sessions must be paid for and completed before the last class of the session.
This course is STATE APPROVED. Each Union student’s grade will be reported to their respective school. Non-Union students may need to keep a copy of the completion certificate for insurance purposes, if the school does not offer credit for the course. Check with your insurance carrier to see what benefits they may offer. Union students may obtain a school transcript as proof of completion for insurance companies.
All classes are subject to cancellation if the enrollment is insufficient or if an appropriate instructor is not available.
There are no refunds for Drivers Education; however, all fees will be refunded if the class is cancelled due to an insufficient enrollment or if an appropriate instructor is not available.

Lost Drivers Ed Certificates may take up to 3 weeks to replace
If the original Drivers Ed certificate is lost prior to obtaining the permit, call or email with your student’s name, date of birth, and when he/she took the Drivers Education class. **Be sure to ask the permit office to allow you to keep your certificate after obtaining the permit, in case you need to take your driving test at a different location. To satisfy insurance provider requirements, you will need to obtain a copy of the student’s transcript from the school registrar.
