Union Public Schools offers an Oklahoma State Approved Driver’s Education course. Students must be 15 years old by the first day of class and must be attending high school, grades 9 – 12. This course requires 30 class hours, 12 simulation hours, and 3 hours of behind-the-wheel time. Students must attend all classes, simulations and driving times as scheduled.

Enrollment
Enrollment for fall classes is full. Spring session information will be announced in December. Enrollment is open only to students at least 15 years of age on or before the first day of class and be currently enrolled in 9th-12th grade. A copy of the student’s birth certificate and a registration fee of $225 are required at the time of enrollment. Students must be at least 15 years old on or before the date of the first class.
Non-Union students: Enroll at the Community Education Office, located at the ESC. A copy of the student’s birth certificate, proof of enrollment in school, and a registration fee of $225 are required at the time of enrollment. Students must be at least 15 years old on or before the date of the first class.

Enrollment Times
Enrollment times are 8 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. and 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Please call ahead to insure staff is available in order to complete enrollment process.
Cost
The enrollment fee of $225 must be paid at the time of enrollment. Only payments of check or money order made payable to Union Public Schools will be accepted. Credit cards are accepted. We do not accept cash.
Attendance
There are no excused absences. Additional fees of $35.00 will be assessed for each missed class, simulation or driving time.
Make-up sessions must be completed before the last class of the session.
Grade Credit
Each student’s grade will be reported to their respective school. Check with your insurance carrier to see what benefits they may offer. This course is STATE APPROVED.
Cancellation
All classes are subject to cancellation if the enrollment is insufficient or if an appropriate instructor is not available.
Refund Policy
There are no refunds for Driver’s Education; however, all fees will be refunded if the class is cancelled due to an insufficient enrollment or if an appropriate instructor is not available.

Lost Driver’s Ed Certificates
If your student loses their Driver’s Ed certificate, call or email with your student’s name, date of birth and when they took Driver’s Ed Driver’s Ed certificates will be printed and signed on the second week of the following months: March, June, September and December.
