Jefferson Elementary students owned their teachers in a rousing game of dodgeball Friday afternoon.
Even the PreK kids took charge of the game when it was their turn to face the teachers – although the young kids did run cross the midway line. In fairness, it was their first time to play the game.
Timid teachers took it on the chin, in the side and everywhere else students could give it to teachers, several of whom wore safety vests and helmets to protect themselves against the soft dodgeballs lobbed their way.
The dodgeball game – in which grade levels and a few classes – faced off against teachers was a fundraiser for the Tulsa Area United Way. It was also good fun and a way for everyone to come together – and throw things at each other.
