Union Public Schools will celebrate a Month of Giving during the month of September, inviting employees to donate to the Tulsa Area United Way campaign and the Union Schools Education Foundation.
In a presentation this morning to employees at the Education Service Center, Chief Communications Officer Chris Payne said Union has been the leading contributor from the area educational institutions in terms of donations to the United Way, which supports many families within the Union school district.
“For 30 years!” pointed out Superintendent Dr. Kirt Hartzler.
Payne showed employees the official United Way campaign video: https://vimeo.com/854785041 to show employees some of the life-changing impacts their contributions have made.
Shea Ludwig, USEF executive director, also implored employees to consider donating to the Foundation, stressing that 100 percent of their donations goes back to support teachers and projects around the district. Learn more here: https://www.unionfoundation.org/give
Union employees will soon receive donations cards where they can make their choices.
“Personally, I like to give to both organizations,” Payne said, noting that the district is planning a number of additional fundraising events such as a barbeque event at the Service Center.
During the meeting, Hartzler also recognized a number of employees for their years of service, ranging from five years to 30 years, including Rose Peace, who is celebrating 30 years at Union. Peace works in the accounting office.
