Congratulations to our Mr. and Miss Union Top 20 candidates!
About Mr. & Miss Union
The Top 10 (five females and five males) will be announced Friday February 10, based on teacher recommendation and student votes.
One of the highest honors a senior may receive comes during second semester of the 12th grade year when Mr. and Miss Union are selected. This honor is bestowed on a boy and girl who have excelled in academics, community service, and other aspects of student life. See previous winners.
In the selection process, all students and faculty are given the opportunity to nominate senior candidates, including self-nominations. The top-10 male and female senior nominees are placed on a ballot for a student vote, reviewed for academic performance, and evaluated by faculty for school spirit, positive leadership, character/integrity, and contribution to class. The final selection is determined by 30 percent grade point average (GPA), 30 percent teacher recommendation score and 40 percent student vote.
During the spring semester ceremony, the top five male and female nominees are honored along with their families. One male and female candidate are selected for the title of Mr. and Miss Union.
