McAuliffe Elementary School received an early Christmas present today with donations of coats, headphones and some school supplies, worth about $10,000, from Avantive Solutions.
Representatives of Avantive Solutions, a global technology and business process outsourcer based in Tulsa, made the presentation at McAuliffe’s monthly leadership assembly. The company is providing approximately $2,000 in coats for children and $8,000 in much needed headphones, as well as some additional school supplies including backpacks, glue and more.
Joe Dickerson, site director of Avantive, and other representatives attended the assembly, led by third graders, who sang and talked about Habit 3: Putting first things first. Students and classes were also recognized for personal achievements and good attendance. Several teachers were named Changemakers, as well as the entire cafeteria staff.
