Support and operations staff at Union Public Schools fully support the district’s mission to help all students for “100 Percent Graduation, 100 Percent College And/Or Career Ready.”
Operations has a second mission “to provide a safe, clean, high-quality learning environment for all stakeholders,” said Joshua Robinson, director of Operations, during a back-to-school meeting with staff in the Union Performing Arts Center.
“That has always been our mission. Now with COVID-19, it is just as important as ever,” he said, stressing the importance of wearing masks, social distancing and keeping schools clean and safe for children.
Robinson talked to staff, who had spaced themselves throughout the school while wearing masks, about the new year facing them and the tasks that lay ahead for them.
Robinson talked to staff, who include mechanics, custodians, building engineers and more, about the challenges the district will face because of COVID-19, and stressed success also will rely on support staff.
Associate Superintendent Charlie Bushyhead talked to staff briefly as well. He thanked them for their service and willingness to meet these new challenges posed by COVID-19. He expressed confidence that Union’s Operations Department can rise up to these challenges.
