Jarman teachers can really get into character.
As part of a recent “literacy night” hosted virtually by the school, Principals Shawna Thompson said teachers donned costumes as they took kids into the word of books.
“This is virtual parental involvement at its finest,” Thompson declared. “Look at how awesome our team is in putting together the most creative parental involvement night for our families! We had a literacy night called Starry Night. Many teachers did reader’s theater over Zoom with our families. Families were encouraged to dress in PJs and enjoy reading together. I was on 2nd grade and after the teacher’s performed, we had our own reader’s theater to perform.”
