Digits with Dads turned out to be a huge success at Darnaby Thursday, February 28, 2013 from 6:00-7:00.
Second Grade teachers Jeanine Cory, Suzanne Martin, and Portia Walker, along with Multi-Age Teacher Terri Williams opened their classrooms at the end of a long day with Dress as Your Favorite Storybook Character Day. Students brought their dads, uncles, older brothers, grandfathers and some brought their moms to share the evening playing the math games that Everyday Math offers.
Smiles and laughter filled the classrooms as the adults interacted with their children learning new games the younger set taught to the adults. Students interacted with the Smartboards, game boards and built geometric shapes. These games are packed with fun and help students learn basic skills needed for their Math development.
