Bond election Tuesday, Feb. 10

Union Public Schools is asking its patrons to consider approval of a school bond issue for $27 million on Tuesday, February 10. A 60 percent supermajority is needed to pass. Passage will not increase taxes above traditional levels. “Successful bond elections provide critical funds,” Superintendent Dr. Kirt Hartzler said. “Without bond issues, we could not continue to operate or provide the basics for our students, much less maintain the excellent facilities in which our students learn and excel.”... read full story

  • Union 'threepeats' as OK Promise 6A Champion

    For the third consecutive year, Union Public Schools has been recognized by the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education as the Oklahoma’s Promise 2014 State 6A Champion for having 174 seniors from the class of 2014 qualify for the Oklahoma’s Promise Scholarship.

    “We are so proud of the academic work of our students who have earned a scholarship toward their college educations through Oklahoma’s Promise,” said Lisa Witcher, director of Secondary Education for Union Public Schools.  “The students’ academic work and the work of the adults responsible for guiding and supporting them is evidence of the tenacity that embodies the ‘Union Way’.”

    OkMOM - Two days of FREE dental care for those in need! February 6-7, at the  Cox Business Center Tulsa, sponsored by Oklahoma Dental Association. Doors open at 5 a.m. each day, for adults and kids. About 1,000 patients will be treated each day. No appointments. First come, first served.
