Eight seniors from Union High School have been named 2014 National Merit Semifinalists. Principal Gart Morris made the announcement Sept. 10 as he and administrators congratulated the students. The Union Band is experiencing steady growth, with a record high enrollment of a little more than 1,200 students this school year, and a 10 percent increase in grades 6-12 enrollment from the 2013-14 to 2014-15.
