OKLAHOMA CITY - Broken Arrow came from behind to win its third consecutive Class 6A championship at the state tournament Saturday night at State Fair Arena.

The Tigers finished with 122.5 points and had two state individual champions.

"We feel really good, really relieved because we felt like we could put ourselves in this situation again," Broken Arrow coach Shawn Jones said. "After we won it last year, we felt we could repeat. I'm just glad the pressure is off and we were able to do it.

One came from Markus Simmons, who dominated Sand Springs' Cody Karstetter at 106 pounds, taking a major decision, 14-0. The other came from Chase Ferman at 138, as he took a 2-0 decision against Bartlesville's Michael Hamilton for his second straight state title.

"(Simmons) has been unstoppable all year long," Jones said. "Nobody has been able to hold him in check to a low-scoring match.

"And (Ferman) was wrestling as solid as he could to win a state title."

Union, which led the Tigers by 12 points after Friday's session, finished second with 108 points. Stillwater finished in third place with 82 points. Edmond North was fourth with 54.5 and Sapulpa took fifth with 48.

The Redskins got individual state titles from seniors Josh Walker (120), along with brothers Brian (132) and Kyle Crutchmer (170).

Walker won a 2-0 decision against Muskogee's Lukas Etchison.

Brian Crutchmer won a 7-4 decision over Sapulpa's Shea Conley. The victory was meaningful for him after he had been runner-up the previous two years.

"I finally got that state championship under my belt," Brian Crutchmer said. "It feels a lot better than getting runner-up for the second year in a row."

Kyle Crutchmer (48-0) finished his senior season unbeaten and his high school career as a two-time state champ with a 4-2 decision against Edmond North's Lance Dixon.

"It's bittersweet because it's my last match as a Redskin," Kyle Crutchmer said. "I feel more happy for (his brother Brian) than I do my own self. We have a lot of family here and I think we made them proud."

Shelby Krout (38-0) of Ponca City also finished his season unbeaten as he beat Union's Blace Walser, 3-0, in the 182-pound championship bout.

Other champions included Jenks' Austin Eades, a 3-2 winner against Broken Arrow's Paden Bailey at 152 and Sapulpa's Caleb Cotter, who beat Edmond North's Andrew Dixon, 8-3, at 195.
