    Daylight saving time ends at 2 a.m. this Sunday, so remember to turn your clocks back one hour before you go to bed Saturday night.

    It also marks the 25th year that the International Association of Fire Chiefs has used daylight saving time as a time to remind people to change the batteries in their smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors and test them to be sure they're working.

    This was the sixth daylight saving time period since federal changes to daylight saving time set it to begin at 2 a.m. on the second Sunday in March and end on the first Sunday in November. The change, required in 2007 by the 2005 Energy Policy Act to reduce energy consumption, marked the first adjustment of daylight saving time dates in 20 years, according to the National Institute of Standards and Technology.

  • Join Football Boosters for supper Nov. 2

    Please join the football booster club for dinner in the Turf Club, located in the UMAC Classrooms.  Food is served between 5:30 -7:00 p.m. on Friday, November 2.  Kids under 5 eat free, students between the ages of 6-12 can eat for $5.00 and anyone over 13 can eat for $10.  This game’s meal is catered by Carrabba's and the menu is as follows:  Caesar salad, mezzalune lasagna, vegetable of the day, fresh bread, dessert, tea, lemonade.  Please contact Mark Reeves at soonerdude4ever@gmail.com  to reserve your spot.   Also, the football booster club will be accepting donations for Sterling Thomas, a 2012 Union graduate and member of the football team who sustained a serious head and neck injury in a collegiate football game last weekend.  Additional donations can be made at any Bank of Oklahoma location, attn.: "Sterling Thomas Contribution Account."

  • Adult Ed receives Transformation Award

    The Union Adult Education program has received the Tulsa Drug Court Transformation Award from the Tulsa County COURTS program. This prestigious award resulted from a successful partnership, established in 2010 between the Tulsa County COURTS Program and Union.
